We offer interim and full car services. As a general rule an interim service is performed every 6 months or 6,000 miles (whichever comes first) and a full service every 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first).
A car service is not legally required like an MOT is, but having your car serviced regularly will help to keep it running more smoothly and possibly spot potential problems early on.
Air Conditioning Regas and Service should be performed on average every 2 years. The air conditioning system isn’t checked during an MOT or part/ full service, so it’s important that you remember to get it checked.
During the regas procedure which generally takes about an hour, the old refrigerant gas and oil is removed. We then run a vacuum test to make sure there aren’t any issues with the air con system. Finally we then add the new gas and oil.
Most modern cars now have internal computers or Engine Control Units which monitor and records any issues with your vehicle.
If any warning lights appear on your dashboard it can be tempting to ignore them especially if your car seems to be running ok.
We have the latest car diagnostic equipment and updated software that can check the fault codes for all makes and models of car.
It’s better to be safe than sorry, something that could well be an easy fix may turn into a costly nightmare so it’s just not worth the risk.
